A Little Story of Hope

Hope is an important gift for us, when we have hope we can withstand almost any struggle be it a mountain or a molehill.

Do you remember the story of Julie? It was Julie’s 9th birthday and Julie really wanted a pony for her birthday. On the day of her party a farmer stopped by with a truck load of horse manure and dumped it in Julie’s backyard for her father to use to fertilize the family garden. When Julie saw the huge pile of horse apples in the yard she ran and hugged her parents and then jumped into the pile. “What are you doing?” her parents yelled, “Julie, you are dressed for your birthday party.”
To which Julie replied, “With this much horse manure; there must be a pony here somewhere!”

What would it be like if we hoped for God the Father to awaken the Holy Spirit , within in us from baptism, as we wait for Jesus’ return to judge us and to take us home to heaven with Him?

Do you suppose we would have a different outlook on our circumstances? Do you suppose we would look forward to every new day as another day closer to living in Heaven?

Like Paul tells the Romans:
