A Place to Live

“Don’t let this throw you. You trust God, don’t you? Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home. If that weren’t so, would I have told you that I’m on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live. Where are we going and where are we going to stay while we are there?

These are the questions we ask ourselves when we plan an adventure.

• Are we going to stay at the hotel?
• Are we going to take the camper?
• Are we going to sleep in the tent?

Or, Are we going to “Live in a van down by the river?”

In our text from John today, Jesus promises that He has a place for us to stay when our adventure here on earth ends.

My imagination runs wild as pictures of mansions and rooms run through my mind. How about yours?
