A Place to Live
“I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live.” John 14:1–4 MSG
”The only purpose in life is to live. I just want to live the best life I can today.” — James Altucher
“Don’t let this throw you. You trust God, don’t you? Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home. If that weren’t so, would I have told you that I’m on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live. And you already know the road I’m taking.”John 14:1–4 MSG
Where are we going and where are we going to stay while we are there?
These are the questions we ask ourselves when we plan an adventure.
- Are we going to stay at the hotel?
- Are we going to take the camper?
- Are we going to sleep in the tent?
Or, Are we going to “Live in a van down by the river?”
In our text from John today, Jesus promises that He has a place for us to stay when our adventure here on earth ends.
My imagination runs wild as pictures of mansions and rooms run through my mind. How about yours?
