Accept the Challenge to Reap the Reward

What good is getting everything you want and losing your faith?

I want to go to heaven just not right now, or something like that is the title to a Kenny Chesney song. And perhaps it fits with the text for today’s meditation.

I pray that the Lord has blessed you with peace and prosperity that you are very comfortable with where you are right now.

• You have a roof over your head
• The lights and heat or A/C are on
• The water is working
• The refrigerator is full
• The internet is on

Life is good.

Now here is the challenge that we face.

Jesus challenges us to have faith. He encourages us to leave our life, our comfort zone, and to climb the mountain of helping others find comfort in Christ through our actions.

Wow!

To give up our comforts for a stranger? To embrace pain and suffering to help someone find salvation by demonstrating the grace and forgiveness found in faith in Jesus?
