How Does God Use You in Your Vocation

I have carried God’s word, the Bible, with me everywhere have gone and everywhere I go, but what does that have to do with “how does God use you in your vocation?”

‘For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ ‘ Matthew 25:35–36

These verses sum up the way God uses us in our vocation to bring Him glory.

After all, what better way is there to use the gifts and earnings we receive from God through our work than to feed our family, and to support those who provide food to the hungry?

And what about keeping your children and grandchildren clothed and dressed for the weather or how about giving a hat, coat, and mittens to the local shelter?

(By the way, that coat won’t doesn’t match any of the outfits our Creator has blessed you with this year.)

And how about stopping by the nursing home to see your mom’s friend Sally? She always had the best cookies for you and your sisters.

— Since COVID-19, a nursing home could be seen as both a hospital and a prison, but that is a story for another time. —
