I am waiting for our grandson to be born by Caesarian Section in a couple of hours.

Waiting is nerve-wracking because it allows my mind to conjure up every possible scenario. I am working diligently to keep my thoughts on the joy and excitement of his arrival.

Prayer is a great practice to build patience.

Prayer allows you to silence the inner critic, that little devil in the back of your mind whispering those negative thoughts that keep you in your comfort zone.

Or perhaps like in my case in my uncomfort zone.

You know?

Don’t you?

That zone where you are not comfortable but you have been here so long and have more than enough experience that no matter how much you want to you just cannot change.

And prayer creates an opportunity to invite the Holy Spirit to provide guidance and confidence in the paths you chose to use to serve God’s…
