Fear God. Do what he tells you.

These words are from the end of Ecclesiastes.

But, how do you know you are doing the work that God wants you to do?

In my family the saying has been, “ Well let’s get out and do something even if it is wrong. “

The thought is that taking action even if it is the wrong action is better than not taking any action. You can correct mistakes and errors in judgement. And experience improves judgement and performance. That is why doctors and lawyers call their businesses practice.

When you are driving a car you are constantly making adjustments. Pressing harder on the throttle, that is what the gas pedal is called, or easing up to adjust your speed to the terrain and…
