I Thirst, HE Provides

Gratitude
I am grateful to God for…
Lent started yesterday, Wednesday 6 March 2019.
I am going to thank God for blessing me every day through this Lenten season.
Today I am grateful to God for running water.
The harsh cold and the strong WNW wind froze the water to our house on Sunday.
We were gone over the weekend to Aberdeen to celebrate Scarlet’s FIRST birthday. When we came home the water in the master bathroom was froze, this was a bummer but not the end of the world. We still had running water in the kitchen and in the main bathroom. So, it was just an inconvenience.
The wind blew hard from the west Sunday all day and continued throughout Monday. On Monday morning, my dear wife announced that the kitchen and main bathroom were froze. I was mad. I threw a fit that would have made my grandchildren proud. I yelled and exercised my hog loading vocabulary. I am certain Tammy would have laughed but she was scared I would see her.
After throwing my fit, I put my winter chore clothes on and went out to see what I could learn.
I marched through belly deep snow on the west side of the house and found the panel by where the water came into the house had slid down a couple of inches and the hyper cold air was being forced on the water line.
No wonder the water was froze
I filled the crack with snow and ice. And I said a long prayer that the heat tape was still working and that taking the immediate hyper cold blast off the spot would give the heat a chance to work.
At 2 A.M. Tuesday morning, Tammy announced that the shower was working in the master bath.
Like I said, I am grateful to God for running water.
I carried just enough water to make coffee, flush the toilets, or to warm on the stove to wash our hands and face. I am grateful to God for running water.
Until next time…. Keep Practicing
Grace, mercy and peace to you and your house from God, our Father, and from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes, ears and heart to see God’s purpose for us today and everyday.
