Mom’s House and Home

I am grateful to God for…

I am going to thank God for blessing me every day through this Lenten season.

Today I am grateful to God for House and Home.

Can you imagine what it is like to be homeless? I can’t. I have never been without a home.

And I am very grateful to be so blessed.

Yes, when I was young. My father, my brother and I would go to the river and sleep out under the stars by the fire for a night.

Or slept in the car or pickup or truck a time or two. And those excursions were planned adventures. I have never had to live in my van, under the bridge, down by the river.

I always knew where home was.

Mom was at home creating something delicious or cleaning or washing clothes or practicing the organ for church. That is just what she did. Mom made the house a home.

God has blessed me greatly. He has allowed me to live with the Mother of my children. The Mom that makes this house a…
