The Day I Was Almost Run Over On the Road
I am scooting around our community on my ATV. Checking fences and cows. I am checking to see that the cows are where they are supposed to be and that the fences are in good repair.
As I approach an intersection, I observe the neighbor’s daughter also approaching the intersection.
***It is important to note that we live in a RURAL area. People blow Stop signs and fail to yield just like in the city.***
Back to the story, so this big white SUV starts to turn onto the road in front of me.
***Thankfully I was anticipating this action and had taken precautions.***
She slammed on her brakes and stopped.
Don’t ask me why?
God guided me to pull up to her window. Her eyes were full of tears and she was upset.
***Not because she almost run me over***
Sheila was upset because her father, Bobby, who has been fighting cancer for about a year had just learned that it was spreading at a rapid pace.
And he had decided to discontinue treatment. Ugh.
