You Will Get the Best of Evil By Doing Good
What is your superpower?
You have one, I know you do?
What is it?
Are you generous to a fault? That person, who no matter the circumstances has something to give.
There is something disarming about being generous. And it is even more useful when generosity is unexpected.
Remember that time you offered to help your high school bully with her term paper? Ok. Maybe not that generous. Please remember you are forgiven.
How about that time you brought coffee to your most dreaded customer? You know her. That customer who keeps coming back even though all your products and services are too high priced and not quite good enough.
Did you notice how that simple cup of coffee lit a spark in her eyes and created a hint of a smile on her face.
“Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he’s thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness. Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good. Romans 12:20–21 MSG
